Originally settled in the mid to late 18th century as a large farm, Indian Hills is bounded on the west by Indian Hills Trail, the south by Brownsboro Road, the east and northeast by the Watterson Expressway (I-264), and the north by Interstate 71 (I-71) and the Ohio River.
The natural setting of this historic area has largely been maintained. The streets curve up, down, and around the lush hills and beautifully aged sycamore trees that were standing when regional Native Americans passed through and paused here hundreds of years ago.
